How do I use voice notes?

A voice note is a short recording you attach to your work instead of writing it out. The limits are ten minutes per recording and 25 MB per file. It plays back in place without downloading anything, and you can delete it whenever you like. Voice notes suit a delivery you want to remember, a note faster spoken than typed, or an idea that arrives away from a keyboard.

The limits

  • Length: up to ten minutes per recording.
  • Size: up to 25 MB per file.

Where they can be used

Voice notes are not specific to scripts. They attach to more than one kind of record, ideas among them, and the capture box on the dashboard accepts a recording directly.

When a recording beats typing

Three practical cases:

  1. Delivery. Saying a line the way you want it read is more precise than describing how it should sound.
  2. Speed. A note that takes a minute to say takes five to write.
  3. Where you are. You are driving or walking, and the thought will not wait until you reach a keyboard.

Playing and deleting

A note plays in place inside the work, with no file to download, and you can delete it at any time.
