How do I add my first idea?

The fastest way is the capture box on the dashboard: type the idea and save, or record it as a voice note. To write it up properly, open the ideas page and give it a title and a body. Ideas are unlimited on every plan including Free, and you can later score an idea and move it from draft to validated to converted.

The fast way: from the dashboard

In the capture box under the counters, type the idea and save it. The box asks for no title and no category. The text of the idea is all it needs, because the point is to catch it in seconds.

You can also record a voice note instead of typing, which suits an idea that is longer than you can quickly write down.

The full way: from the ideas page

Open your ideas and add a new one. Here you are asked for:

  1. A title for the idea.
  2. The idea itself.

Everything else is optional: you can attach the idea to a project, or give it a score from 1 to 10 for how strong you think it is.

The three states an idea can be in

Every idea sits in one of three states:

  • Draft: caught, not yet reviewed.
  • Validated: you have looked at it again and decided it is worth making.
  • Converted: it has become a script.

The state is a sorting tool for you: it separates what you grabbed in a hurry from what you have actually committed to making.

How many ideas can I save?

Unlimited, on every plan including Free. Ideas are not something we cap.
