How do I save a filming location?
From the filming locations page, add a location with a name and a country, then set where it is either by pasting a map link or by picking a point on the map. One or the other is required, not both. Saved locations are then attached to shoot days, so you never retype an address. Free allows one location and Creator twenty.
What a location needs
From filming locations, add one. Required:
- A name as you know the place, not as the map writes it.
- A country.
- Where it is, given one of two ways.
Two ways to set the place
Pick one; whichever you pick is the one that is required:
- A map link: paste a ready-made link. Fastest when the place is well known or someone sent it to you.
- Picking a point on the map: place the marker yourself. More precise for places with no address: a rooftop, a street corner, a spot in the desert.
Why save it at all
Because you will use it again. A saved location attaches to a shoot day by picking it from a list, so you never retype the address or dig the link out of an old chat.
